The Abundant Ground in Haiti supports an orphanage in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti which has one hundred and eighty one children ages five to twelve. These children are strong survivors. They live without consistent clothing or food. Their education is provided by volunteers (who work without pay) and a local church who teaches them under a tent (this was before Haiti's January 12^thearthquake).

We at The Abundant Ground Foundation fight hard to get them clothing, school supplies and consistent food support. These children already know hard circumstances which forces them to have a strong work ethic at an early age. This can be said for all orphans. Even though these kids know how to survive and live with lack, they never complain or show bitterness. Although their circumstances can be appreciated, they have never had some of  the things that are normal for them to have. They have never had a real Christmas. No one has ever thrown them a birthday party. They have no pictures of blowing out candles. They have had no special Easter presents or been to a popular concert, circus or carnival.

The Abundant Ground is exceedingly grateful for every online supporter of Dolly Donations who took the time, money, labor and materials to create these dolls. Your response has been wonderful. Every delivery that comes with the dolls, makes us excited for what their reaction is going to be. Your desire to help and be moved by their situation, are insufficient for words.

We Thank You for being involved, for being moved, for wanting to create something special for children who have never known anything but lack.  Over forty of you responded to Dolly Donation, The Abundant Ground thanks you and the children in Croix des Bouquets thank you. We are preparing letters of hope to attached to the dolls for the ones that did not come with letters. Shipment of the dolls is set for March 31^st.
